Brett Kanwetz, RWCS, CMIP Commercial Insurance Broker

A native and life-long resident of Nevada, Brett Kanwetz has over 21 years experience in the insurance sector including handling various commercial risks such as construction, entertainment, wholesale, professional liability and gaming. In addition to sales and servicing, he has performed program development with carriers, underwriting, marketing, loss control, quality control, and risk management for many industries here. His background includes sales and management positions with national brokerage firms as well as regional and local agencies. His experience also includes development, implementation and servicing of municipalities and large construction risks including work on the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Clark County Excess Liability Coverage Program and the planning of the Airport Tunneling Project.

His education and professional accomplishments include studies at the University of Nevada Las Vegas majoring in Finance. He has earned the professional designations of Registered Workers Compensation Specialist (RWCS) and Certified Mortgage Insurance Specialist (CMIP) as well as being OSHA certified. He has served in various capacities for many local Chambers of Commerce as well as other civic groups. Kanwetz serves as a board member for the Surety and Fidelity Association of Nevada. He is also a member of the Associated General Contractors and a Charter Member of the Las Vegas-Northwest Rotary as well as a member of the Parent Action Committee for Cadwallader Middle School.
